Because Dr. Billue provides a full range of women's services, you never have to leave the area for quality care. He treats women of all ages for the following:
Well-woman exams – Dr. Billue performs a full range of services to keep you healthy, including Pap smears, vaginal hysterectomy and testing for sexually transmitted diseases. Women of any age, whether or not they have had a hysterectomy, also need to have pelvic exams and be screened for gynecologic and breast cancer.
Obstetrics – Dr. Billue has performed more than 7,000 deliveries and in some cases is now delivering the babies of women who were brought into the world by him a generation ago! Because he is a solo practitioner, chances are excellent that if you receive prenatal care from Dr. Billue, your baby will be delivered by him — not a partner in a large medical group practice. Expectant mothers can write their own birth plan, if they choose. High-risk expectant mothers can be managed throughout their pregnancy, sometimes in coordination with other high-risk specialists.
Infertility & family planning – Dr. Billue offers a full range of the latest birth control methods for women who want to delay having children or who have completed their family. Women who have been unable to become pregnant can receive full fertility evaluations and treatment, including ovulation induction or surgery, when necessary.
Gynecologic care – Women with pelvic disorders and pain, abnormal female bleeding, vaginal or bladder infections or sexually transmitted diseases can obtain a thorough diagnosis and the latest treatments. In cases where surgery is indicated, such as bladder incontinence treatment, Dr. Billue is experienced in the latest minimally invasive procedures, so you don’t even have to leave Marshall County.
Bladder incontinence treatment – Age and childbirth can sometimes cause physical changes that impact a woman’s normal body functions. Dr. Billue has the capability to conduct urodynamic testing for female bladder problems in his office. He offers a full range of the latest treatments for urinary bladder incontinence and other bladder problems in women, including surgery, right here in Alabama.
Female menopause management – Women often experience physical symptoms when they stop menstruating, such as hot flashes and night sweats. The period leading up to "the change of life," called perimenopause, can also be marked by changes in menstrual patterns, such as irregular vaginal bleeding. Dr. Billue can help women cope with these symptoms via hormone therapy (including bioidentical hormone therapy), non-hormone therapy for women and lifestyle modifications.
Female pelvic disorders – Women sometimes experience vaginal relaxation or prolapse following childbirth or later in life. Dr. Billue can address these conditions through the latest medical and surgical techniques.
